Did you drive your Olds today?

Drove it last night. 12 days for a new ignition module to cross the Atlantic, then I didn't have any time to fit it until yesterday. But it now runs on six cylinders instead of four, and still has the legs on my son in laws Trans Am.

Is this in the 87 delta? I gotta ask, what is the trans am that you're faster than?

Well it's a bit of a cheat, he has a 400 Pontiac but it has been messed around with by someone who seems to think if it's loud and lumpy it's fast. But the Olds is surprisingly agile, more a power to weight ratio issue than sheer horsepower.

Drove the 442 to work Monday 12 miles round trip, air conditioning is not working so decided that was far enough to go when it is 95 out.
Speaking of A/C, was driving my GF's grand kids around Saturday and told the 12 year old in the passenger seat that she needed to roll down the window. She said "how do I do that"?
They do love the loud car as we call it!

Drove the red 98 to work 3 days in a row just a couple of weeks ago. She's finally all back together and it was a GREAT feeling to finally have her back out on the road. It's about 80 miles round trip (mostly country back roads) to/from work and it was a real pleasure, especially with the ice cold A/C!

What a beauty! Reminds me of the 76 98 455 I had when I 1st married. I need
to find a pic. Navy blue metallic, yeah, it had flake, with the dark blue interior.
and with a white vinyl landau top, 8-track and all. Loved that thing, miss it.

I really like the dark blue metallic that your 98 was. Too bad you don't have her anymore.
I think it was on the same day that I took the picture that a (surprisingly) young guy rolled up next to me at a light and yelled out "That car is f@$#ing awesome!".

John, that is an awesome Olds! My father; Oldsguy, once owned a 76 98 Regency coupe only his was white. It was THE BEST highway car I've ever driven. My 71 98 is a close second, but will probably never be as nice since I can't figure out how to turn back the clock and be 20 again.

Drove the red 98 to the New England Olds Club's annual picnic yesterday. It was very hot and humid but she ran great and the a.c. kept me and my son very comfy cool. About an hour ride each way. Also drove her to work on Friday.
Thanks again to club president Jeff Walsh for hosting at his home.

Its been 100+ degrees here for the last week or so. Had to run errands today so I dusted her off took the Cutlass out. After sitting for 3 weeks fired right up. After getting a bunch of thumbs up around our town square, headed home.

Yep, I drove our '66 Toronado to NAPA to pick up a lf axle for our '77 Toronado. Both have working air, so they get used a lot, especially when it's hot. And I live in a small town, so traffic is rarely an issue.
Drive 'em, drive 'em all, while we are young enough to enjoy them.

Mines almost always been outside but I tried not to drive it much, mostly cause I was always working on it and had other things to drive. Now it's my only runner so I have to drive it, I don't mind though I love driving the car.

Ran the W-30 to the car wash today to rinse out the newly paintless inner fenders. Stopped at the convenience store on the way back and some guy wouldn't stop talking to me about how these cars were definitely the cars back in the day, along with the Chevelles. I love this car, but I don't really like the attention it gets. Not my personality really.

Drove it to a show over the weekend, my wife drove it back today (Sunday), when it got home it decided the starter motor had reached the end of its life. But it's sat outside my house, not stuck in a showfield miles from home.....

Drove mine over the weekend with my father-in-law riding shotgun. Went to a car show attended by 100+ cars. Usual Fords and Chevys. Much to my surprise I saw a '66 442 from a neighboring city. He was the only other Olds at the show. At the end of the day, I scored a Top 25 (the 442 didn't place). Didn't expect hardware but it was nice to get it.

I did not drive it today, but I did drive it saturday, about 110 miles round trip to the venango cty airport wings&wheels fly/drive in. every single person who peered at her said somethign that started with 'my dad, mom, sister, aunt had one like this'
the first real drive since I brought her back to life and on my resealed tranny. ran like stink (that is good) and I got to test kickdown and the 4bbl passing someone on the road in... didja know a 403 with a 400 and a 2.41 will do about 55mph in first? I seriously gotta change to like a 2.73
