What would be the current product for the following terms in my 66 Maintenace Manual.

Dripless Oil and Stick Type Lubricant?
Thanks

I'm going to guess it's something like Lithium Grease.
A Stick Type Lubricant would be like a pen applicator, think a blunt crayon.

I see "Lubriplate" mentioned quite often and I suspect that Lithium grease is a good substitute. However I see "Stick Type Lubricant" mentioned often in the manual and no one has been able to identify it. Thanks for the comments.

White lithium grease in solid stick form. A good parts store should have it. If not substitute spray white grease.

Lubriplate is still available far as I know but often hard to find. The grease stick is an acceptable substitute.

Stick type lubricant was a very standard item, and I am surprised to hear that it is hard to find now.

The ones I have are solid sticks of waxy yellowish lubricant about ¾" in diameter by 4" long, encased in a waxy cardboard tube, where you push the lubricant stick forward from the back with your finger.

Actually, it isn't. Amazon, Ace Hardware, etc, etc. all carry this lithium grease stick. Personally, I use the white lithium spray grease now.

Me too. I love that stuff.

There's a spray lube from Würth that I use almost exclusively for the same things now (I can't recall its number - I get it at flea markets cheap), which is extremely thin when sprayed, and really creeps, and which becomes very thick and gooey when it dries a few seconds later.

To be honest I've never used the stick. Many types of sprays and penetrants.
