70-72 442 Spoiler Question

Did any of the Hardtop 442s from 1970-1972 come with the spoiler like in the picture I've attached? Or was this just an add on this person did? I'm just curious because I'd like to add it on mine but if it wasn't a factory option originally then I won't add it...

Assembly manual shows them so I'd say yes at least for 1970

The photo you posted is a Supreme body, which was NEVER a 442 and was NEVER factory-available with the wing. The wing was only factory-available on the 1970-71 442, Cutlass, and F-85 Holiday Coupes and Sport Coupes (xx77 and xx87 body styles) only under RPO W-35. It was NOT factory-available in the 1972 model year.

Looking at your picture, the rear deck spoiler (wing) does not appear to be correct for a 70-71 Oldsmobile. It may be from another auto manufacturer or after market?
Not sure if you care about authenticity?

that spoiler looks like a 1983-84 Hurst/Olds spoiler. also used on some 442's in the 80's and firebirds.
not a good fit as seen in the picture.

HMMM looks like an oem style but looks to be put on backwards. Looking at it that way, the shape looks correct?

Looks to be to far forward also. I agree with 68442. Joe is right never came from factory for 1972.

Factory Spoiler

This is the one you should have. But not factory on 70-72 supremes or convt.

Not possible with a factory Olds spoiler. Most likely came from a Pontiac GTO.

That is definitely not the right spoiler. Also way to far forward anyways. Factory installed 70 and 71's. Not Supreme, and only dealer installed on 72's.
