Two things

Need help on two things. I have a 1972 Cutlass Supreme. While attempting to take out my rear seat, on the seat bottom was this small tag. I think it may have been part of the build sheet. Trying to decipher it has date 11 2 71 which matches my cars data plate. Car was built 2nd week of Nov 1971 I can make out A BODY, and Rear BEN 57/67 is what 57 For Cutlass bench??? BLAC= Black carpet???/ Also I cannot for the life of me get the seat back portion out. I have removed the two screws on the bottom and lifted up and the right/left portion is unhooked but it is caught on something to the left of center. I know how to get these things out, from doing it before on other GM cars, but cannot get this rear seat back out. Also my trans intermediate servo cover is marked 72 and under is LA 076. I know 72 is the year and LA must be Lancaster plant and 076 is the day of production. Question is What was the day one of production so I can compare the dates with the car build and other date codes etc. Thanks to all

57 is the model of your car - 4257. If it was a CS vert it would be 4267
What color does your cowl tag say the trim should be?

White interior, Matador red color up and down. Is this a piece of the build sheet? I cannot get the seat back out.

The date code is not from when production started but the XXXth day of the year. IF 076 is the date code, then that would be a mid March date.

The chassis service manual says it is the date of production. I would like to know what was the first day of production, ie: August1 Aug 15, Sept 1. ??

I am assuming the day of production was for the model year 1972.
