As some of you know I picked up an 07 Mustang with only 8k miles on it to replace my wifes 06 that met an untimely end. It has the original tires on it that look great, but <sigh> they are 11 years old. Anyway, I'm caught between the oem tire which are Pirelli P Zero Nero AS tire, BF Goodrich G-Force Comp 2 A/S tire, or the Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S tire.
I'm familiar with the Perelli's as that's what was on the 06. They get hard as nails and don't grip well on a wet road. I'm actually leaning towards the BFG's. Not familiar with the Goodyears.
Any suggestions?

Toyotas roll out with Yokohamas and Toyos. They're good tires, but they're the 30k rated mile ones, so they go away fast.
I have always been phenomenally impressed with Michelin. The truck tires I run on my Tacoma were vastly superior to the BFGs I had on there for a couple sets.

Well the Goodyears showed up last Friday with a 2012 date on them, not acceptable. They are also currently unobtainable within a reasonable time. So the hunt was on again. I ultimately bought Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus. Its a W rated tire with good writeups. The reason for the need for new tires was I had one of the 11 year old tires with only 9k miles on it blow out last Thursday. The perk in all this is that Pirelli has no time limit for their tire warranty and I had to argue with the Discount tire guy for 20 mins to get him to call them for a claim. He argued that it was Discounts policy to not prorate tires after 10 years, I stated it has nothing to do with Discount Tire, it was a manufactures warranty. After the call they replaced it for free and only had to pay for 3 tires.
Don't know how they ride yet as it was pouring down rain, wet traction for the new tires was good.

Just to put this out for future reference, I needed similar tires for my '15 SS Camaro. I ended up with Sumitomo HTR A/S P02. Good price for a high speed rated asymmetrical tread. I really like them so far. Good dry traction, and with limited rainfall, wet traction so far is good
