Another one for you guys, this should be an enjoyable one for the purists.
when I got my 1969 442 from my uncle, he said he got it with a 330 and a th350. Th350 is a 1977. I assume that it arrived in the car same time as the 330. I also got a 1969 delta 88 that my uncle got for the 455 it had in it. I have 2 air cleaner assemblies, which makes sense, 2 cars 2 cleaners.
My question is this: would one of these have come in the delta? If not would the high compression cover be the one that should go on the 442 with the new 455 to look correct-ish?

Your first pic is a '69 air cleaner, '69 was the last year for the red/orange color for 4bbls. It was the first year for a decal for engine size or in the case of a 442,it said 442. 1968 was the last year for the separate aluminum "pie-pan" trim for the top but the "super rocket" one you have is for an older model. I think it might be '65-'66 big car????? If your delta 455 still has its original red air cleaner it would be correct for a '69 442 also(the snorkel is a little fatter on the big block air cleaners)you'd just have to buy the "442" decal for it.
