I have a 1979 T/A with an Olds 403, it’s stock except for headers, and a Edelbrok intake with a Demon carburetor. I have read a lot of bad stuff on these 403’s but in other forums that I have seen you can built the upper end and make some descent horse power. I’m not looking for a pro stock, but at least 350 horse. I’m in need of your professional advice.
Thank you

Very nice T/A, as for the 403, you've got plenty of cubes, but getting enough air into it is the problem. Heads, cam and compression will bring a smile to your face when you hit the throttle, even when your wallet is empty. Good luck

empty wallet it will be but it sure fills good when hitting the throttle 😁
