72 Cutlass Rims / Wheels width ?
Can I run 15 x 8" SSII's all the way around or will I run into issues on the front ?
I currently have 245/60/14's all the way around on what appears to be 7: alum slots (Hard to measure with tires installed)

Depends on front wheel back spacing, I ran 15x8’s with 275-60’s on steelies on the rear, and 235-60’s on the front on 15x7’s, and the fronts rubbed the swaybar in a tight turn. This was when I ran stock springs.

Which 15x8 reproduction SS-1 wheel is correct, or better, for the rear of a '70 Cutlass - the model with a 5" backspace or 4 1/2" backspace? The 15x7 SS-1 wheel only comes with a 4.375" backspace .

I am running 8" SS 1's purchased from Summit with 295/50R15 on the rear and 255/60R15 on the front. I cannot remember for sure but I think the wheels are made by Wheel Vintiques. I had some minor clearance issues on the front and trimmed a little off the left front fender wheel lip. I will probably step down a size when I replace the front.

Sampson,
So you are saying you are running 8" on all 4 ? I want to make sure before I buy $400 in rims and find out they don't work.

Yes I am running
15x8 all the way around. Not sure on the backspacing. The 255r 60 is a little tall. I also have disc brakes on front. Not sure if that makes a difference. I like the deep dish look.

All I can add is I do not have any problems with tire rubbing on the frame or swaybar. I did have a minor issue with the left front fender on sharp turns in reverse. i trimmed it a bit and no problems since. As others stated spring height and condition plus tire size may come into play.
Good luck and I hope this helps.
Steve
