Help with the hood.
Slide5.JPGSlide3.JPGOlds Gods. Looking for some help / advice here. I'll describe here my issue and hopefully the annotated pics help. Drives side, rear of the hood sits high. I can push it down and it's level until I drive the car or raise the hood. You can see from the pics the hood is all around squared on the car as it should be. The hinge on the drives side needs to be adjusted I'm guessing and no clue where to start or trouble shoot the hinge to make it stay flush. Any help out there. Thanks much! By the way, got this off the Dyno this week and jetted for 7000 ft here in Colorado. Holy cow this is fun to drive.

And for all that is good and holy, do NOT think that washers = spacers. That hinge has a fitted fit because it provides stiffening over the whole cross section. If you put a washer there, lifting the hood and letting the hinges stop it will eventually bend the mounting holes as only the washers are stiffening that area. You need shims, which are pieces of sheet metal the size of what you are spacing, with a hole in the right place. You could get away with two shims there, one on each area (there's two different heights.). I would think the width of the hinge and about 2x that long would be good.
