I need a picture or diagram of the a/c brackets mounting.

I have the pulleys and a/c brackets to convert my non-a/c 330 to a/c but I'm not sure how they all go. Is there a picture or diagram of how to relocate the alternator and mount everything?

Here's some pictures. The alternator has already been removed. These photos are several years old, I'll try to find some with the alternator installed.

'72 350 AC bracket

Here's a few pics of my engine brackets from a '72 350.

Wow, that engine looks nice Rodney! From past posts I believe the OP is looking for the 1964-67 vintage brackets. Here's some pictures from a 1966 Cutlass. The previous photos I posted were from a 1965. John

These are exactly what I was looking for, thanks. The pics above yours are beautiful but you were correct, I am looking for pics of a 67 set-up. Thanks again.

This might not be what the OP asked for, but here are pictures of my original AC 72 350 (the blue paint is misleading).

John. Besides the other parts I need from you, I think my 72 350 is also missing that U-shaped hoop bracket that guides the heater hose near the PS reservoir and alternator. :-) I don't know if those are the same as on pre- 70s cars?....

After looking at these pics I think I have the wrong alternator adjusting bracket.

I agree, that's a different bracket than in my pictures. Mine are from a 1965 and a 1966, both Cutlass 330's. Can you contact the person you got it from to ask what they had removed it from? John

Tcolt, is this the bracket you need? PM me if you want it - it’s off a ‘72.

What is this "loop" on top of the engine? Mine has it but there is nothing in it just like this one.

That look is one of the two lift points used to drop the motor into the chassis on the assembly line. The other is a hole in the rear passenger side of the block, above the bellhousing.

Here is what the assembly line lift bracket looked like.

I always wondered what that hole at the back of the block was used for. I never stop learning about these Oldsmobiles!

I didn't know it was a hook or loop either, but I know mine is missing. I think I misspoke about the heater hose running through there, but it might be the breather tube instead? I saw something in the assembly manual. Is that right Joe? Does anyone have a spare?

Thanks, Tom

Well I'll be, that solves that question as to where the other hook point is.

Thanks Joe

Toocool, have you found what these brackets came off of? Are you moving forward again?

The one bracket is wrong for my application, I sent it back and am waiting to see if he has the correct one.

Hey Bob. Yeah that's one of the brackets I'm missing, but also the loop to hoist up the engine :-)... I'm trying to get everything back to close to factory. I even got Wittek hose clamps and ribbed heater hoses. (For her pleasure)....
