Sadly, no surprise. I have no problem separating fools from their money, to be honest.

final thought

I like the car but I do not like misrepresentation & deceit.

The beat rolls on & B-J benefits again from a misrepresented car.

When you compare this to the prices of the W-30 cars sold at Mecum last week, and factor in the "buzz" that surrounds a Barrett-Jackson auction and prime Saturday timeslot, I'm not sure the price is all that off for a W-30 car with a real W-27 rear end, numbers matching block, and a 4 speed bench seat--regardless of the claim around being "all original." Granted, it feels dishonest that it was advertised as an "all original" car as we saw the pictures posted with the engine out, etc. One can only hope that whoever the winner of the auction was could identify the "freshness" of the engine and other "updates" from the rest of the car. The paper trail seemed impressive. It sounds like a really good story, per an earlier post, around engine parts being scattered throughout the country.
