61 Starfire
Anybody have a picture of the throttle return spring proper location for a 61 Starfire (any 394 4 bbl setup)?
Working on one and the spring broke - seems simple enough but I just can't seem to see where it's supposed to go.
Thanks -

Belated thanks for the replies folks.
Working on Dad's '61 Starfire - lots of little annoying things like this...carburetor spring, misc. vacuum line hanging under the dash - inoperative wiper motor.
Not fun for a 6'-5" guy to try to snake himself under the dash of one of these things.

A Little Update
My dad recently transferred ownership of his 61 Starfire to me.
It's an amazingly original car that he purchased from the widow of the original owner in 1980...then it had just over 38k, now it has 52k. It has the original interior, original paint, and the original convertible top. The engine has been rebuilt and the transmission leaks like a sieve.
I've been slowly going through the car and chasing out all the demons that hide as a result of sitting for years on end....oxidized switches, brittle vacuum lines, radio repair, bulbs...boring stuff.
I'm also in the process of retrofitting seat belts (I can do a thread on the seatbelt install if anyone is interested)...in doing that I removed the rear seat and found what appears to be a hand-written build sheet (pic attached). I know that 3667 is the 88 Series Convertible, but I'm not sure about the rest...I'm sure it's options and trim related. My curious side would love to know if anyone speaks "assembly line".
I also included the cowl tag (no idea who Tex X is) and the VIN, but none of the other numbers seem to correspond.
At the least, I thought it was cool...I've found these in other cars, but never a hand written one.
