Oldsmobiles at Fall Carlisle on Thursday
#2
There seemed to be a disproportionate number of 1972 Faux-Four-Twos both in the car corral and at the auction. The white one went for low-20s and had the worst fitment of the O.A.I.hood to stone shield that I've ever seen.
There was also a primer black 39 Olds street rod (Chevy powered, naturally) at the auction that (not surprisingly) didn't meet reserve. The running boards made from 2x8s didn't help impress the buyers, apparently.
The two 1950s Olds customs at the auction were gorgeous, however. Both were Rocket powered, also.
