Oil pressure take off
Trying to locate the oil pressure take off on my 65 Vista ( 330), want to plumb the oil pressure gauge up but struggling to find the take off. Anyone give me a clue where its located?? Thanks

The location is the one with the brass T. This picture shows both an oil pressure switch and a mod to use a mechanical gauge. Also you will notice on the intake manifold that there is both an aftermarket mechanical temp sender and the stock temp switch.

Are talking about the extra temp sensor location? That would only be available on some aftermarket intake manifolds. The oil pressure sensor you asked about should be where it is in the picture.

All 64-90 olds engines have the oil sender in that location. Chances are that it's either obscured, or someone has removed it and plugged the hole with a pipe plug.
I highly doubt it has been filled in with weld as that would require much more work than would be practical.

Had a quick look last night and definately "something" filler looking where it should be, not gonna dig about till later in year when not using it just in case it goes a bit wrong

If someone put JB weld in the oil pressure port hopefully you can break it apart and use a shop vac to clean it thoroughly. If it has a plug in it you should be able to remove it with the proper tool. Good luck. Let us know what's up.
