1970 442 Rear Drums-Bell Style Needed

Hello Everyone,

Good Day. I am seeking a good set of "Bell Style" rear drums for a 1970 restoration. In '85 recall while in High School, we did a front and rear break job on the W30 in Auto Shop class and removed what I thought unusual at the time, not stock rear bell style drums and replaced them with finned style sourced from the local Olds dealership, never knew the bell style were original. Any help or leads will be greatly appreciated.

Also, since there's so little data/information on these drums found, as reference on what I'm looking for, I swiped a file photo from our Olds pal Mr. Jensen (I hope you don't mind)....

I've got some extras of these. They should be turned to verify they're usable before selling/shipping. I'm up in Oregon so shipping should be too bad. I'll get you some pictures tomorrow. John

Hello John,

Thank you kindly for your willingness to help. I am anxious to receive information on your findings. Also, while you're going through your inventory, two is a bare minimum, but will take four if you have them as I will need additional for my Hurst.

lol, Don't mind at all... I have a set but have to much pitting on the outside to be worthy of a restoration. These are getting hard to find in nice pit free condition.

Hi Jim
I don't have any loose drums, but have four rear ends with these drums still on them. Attached is a picture of one. I'd prefer to have it turned here, then we can know its good before you pay for purchase and shipping. But that's up to you. I am getting things together and will be up in Portland for the big swap meet this weekend. So it would be the beginning of next week before I could pull some drums and take them to the machine shop. Let me know if that will work for you. John

Hello John,
I'm just circling back to check in and see if you had an opportunity to scope out the bell drums you have and determine if they are in usable condition. Please let me know at your earliest convenience. Thx....

I just sold two, have 4 left if you are still looking, $25 each plus shipping from NM. UPS to IL was $30 for two. If still looking I can provide photos, PM me.
