Will '67 Buick 225 V6 bolt up with '61 Rotohydramatic
in a '62 Cutlass? Am told the standard '62 Cutlass 215 alum V8 was derived from the Buick 198 V6... so will a slightly later 225 bolt right up to the standard automatic used in '61/62/63? Would trans or carb linkage need changed as well?

The 225 uses the normal BOP bellhousing that looks like this:

Thanks - so if replacing the original 225 alum v8 with a Buick v6 one must use the 198 early v6 version, not any of the later Buick v6s it appears?
So if one wanted to use a '67 Buick 225 V6s would a later THM that came with it bolt in with no or minimal mods?

The Rotohydramatic 5 that came in the 61-63 Y-body cars is one of the smallest automatics built by GM. The only one that comes close is the TH200 (NOT the 200-4R), which is weak but probably adequate behind a 225 or 231. Anything else, like a TH350, will require floorpan mods. Of course, you'll need a custom driveshaft with any trans swap.

thanks for that info!
Was the rhm-5 a true 3 spd or 2 speed like Powerglide, or fluid coupling like a DynaSlush? I looked in the brochure but it was vague, just ad-man speak.
