1979 Hurst Olds -Unsure Of Some Things

I bought an original paint, original interior, 46,000 miles Hurst Olds around 7 months ago. It is a black/gold R code car so its real. There is a few things on this car that I don't understand.
There is a small metal name tag plate on the dash over the glove compartment that is engraved Especially Made For James Deal with a red Oldsmobile Rocket emblem. And at the bottom of the car about rocker panel, fender and rear bottom chrome trim the car was striped with 5 gold stripes, thicker at the bottom to thinner as it goes up the car.
I know Hurst Olds didn't have that stripe at all.
Is it rarer? Is it a promo car? etc.etc.
Thanks for anyones impute.

It would appear that what you described is most likely a dealer's add on and not factory... How rare that would make it is only relative to the dealer who applied/installed the changes... Do yo have any photos showing the changes?

Its the only pic I have. I've put the bottom chrome back on etc. etc. but you can see the stripes. That was a lot of work whether it was a dealer or individual.

Those side stripes look like the stripes they put on the grand prix of that era

Seems like the original owner wanted to personalize his H/O. The dealer would be more than happy to put a set of GP decals on, and order a dash plaque from the local ingraver.
