Made the deal 70 Cutlass S Post coupe body and parts
I made the two plus hour drive from work and got the completely disassembled 70 post coupe S , only picked up truck load of loose parts today and got title . Return trip with trailer to get a good running pull out 70 350 and TH350 from his 70 convertible , the rolling body tub once the rear axle is bolted back in and the hood. Man this guy hooked me up , I didn't know I was getting some new stuff too. New 70 442 grills, very nice used auto console, new 70 headlight bezels, new 14x7 trim rings. Some NOS alternator and starter rebuild details , NOS HEI parts. Picked up the rust free post doors with B90 trim, two decent 71-72 front fenders that had some repairs at bottom , rust free deck lid, new Walker Olds dual exhaust head pipes , all the 70 SSII wheels, nice black back seat. Appears the front buckets and nice rear bumper are gone. When I bought the perfect 70 fender, rad support and front bumper last May the rear bumper was there so must have sold. Never saw the buckets. Car is Fremont CA car that has been in Texas a long while. Two owners before this guy were still in Texas . It was Bamboo upper and lower , black bucket console guts, 350 , auto floor, AC , PS car originally. Very nice front and rear glass sealing areas as I recalled. I had forgotten it does have lower bottom right rear rust behind wheel bit that is all really I have seen so far. When I pick up body next I will pull new looking carpet out and check floor. Trunk is good. Pillars good above and below glass. Hell the carpet looks good for me to use in one my cars. The floor shift column is still in it with keys. Dash is intact but weather exposed since glass was out. It he been in weather about two years in the stripped status at least . But airs out well and drys fast LOL. Plans are TBD but for sure selling a lot of stuff too. PM for inquiries

I guess also it is better that is a Z code Fremont car with AC so if it is rebuilt as tagged but done as a W31 or Rallye the assembly plant and or AC also negate the ability to clone but rather tribute instead. I have not decided fully yet but likely will sell it all. This car had a 455 in it and the guy put it in his convertible 70 Cutlass.

Very nice find. Hopefully someone will rebuild it since it is a nice solid factory bucket seat/console car. Sounds like East Texas might be the Rallye 350 haven. Message sent.

Thanks it actual is a ivory bench seat car after I ran the cowl tag but it has a black back seat in it and no door panels but I got black kick panels with speakers holes

Have you decided if you'll fix it or part it? If you want to fix it I may have some parts. I picked up a 1970 F85 post car a while back and not had time to do anything with it yet. It does have badly rotten floorboards and trunk. The fenders, doors, quarter panels and roof are not rotten though.

More than likely it will get sold, but I have to wait till I get it home and cover every bit of it for a better evaluation of rust and value. I have several pending inquiries about it.

Do you have decent black 70 F85 door panels that are not cut for speakers ?

Got the rest home today. Headed out early tomorrow with my son to Luckenbach for our second annual road trip in the 74 C10 . I will be back Saturday to get closer evaluation and pics on the sheet metal pros and cons for the folks I have PM's with. The engine I got is the 70 350 out of his convertible and it appears freshly rebuilt and clean but only had one #6 head and one #3A ! Haha , all four gray 70 SSII wheels will go on my wagon.

Turns out the open rear was a SE. 3.23 ! That pleases me and will be the one I add new posi for a swap in the wagon that has 3.08 and all of the SSII gray wheels.

Your trip sounds like mine. I drove about 600 miles round trip. And we were in around the corner from you in a Museum... We left at 6am and returned about 9pm. This sounds like the time that we were in Florida watching the Blue Angles, and OldsPacRat was there at the same time... Didn't even know it until we spoke.

We should get together one day in Austin or in that area. I am thinking that there is a good number of classic olds people within an hour or two from Austin.

Same here. Nice meeting you and your hospitality with some cold ones. It was a great day

Looks like for now I will keep the body for while at least until I explore the glass out of my Rallye an or the wagon is more paint ready. I could store it for a while covered and rebuild it with a four door parts car deal down the road. Post doors stay with body , quarter glass and door glass is intact. Here is a spare hood latch setup
