The 307's last 1/4 mile run, and a new record
For those that don't know, I race my 85 Delta 88 in the 1/4 mile.
It didn't make an apperence last year on the track because it spent all summer in the bodyshop, but since 2013 the car has been repainted and a new rear installed from a 1994 Chevy Caprice 9C1 with a 3.42 gear set. Moser street axles were installed to give me the correct 5 x 4.75 bolt pattern.
My g/f keeps saying "It's the paint, It's the paint!! the car is more aerodynamic now!!" LOL it is nice to not have pieces of clear caot flying off the hood going down the highway now.
Anyway, I hope to be installing the 330, and a shift kit in the 200R4 at the end of this month.
My best time ever was an 18.27, this past sunday I ran an 18.17, 18.068, and an 18.08 (on the brakes, but broke out anyway) and the car was 200 lbs overweight
I hope the 330 makes the Delta a low to mid 14 second car
