hey im looking at getting a 1979 cutlass with a 4 barrel 350 i was wondering if anybody could help me shed some light on it. is it something that could be fast or is it more luxery. i just cant seem to find much about it i believe its the L34 engine

 

If it is an Olds 350 it is not original to the car unless this is a Hurst Olds.

If it is a Chevy 350 then I can't comment.


We need more info on the car & the engine to help.

 

im pretty sure it is a hurst olds its a 2 door got a turbo 350 transmission and a 350 4 barrel engine. i read where 1979 and 1980 where the only years they made them with that engine. L34 i believe. LSD differential

If it is a 1979 HO the 350 is rated @ 170 hp and the car came with 2.73 gears (2.56 in CA). The car ran 17.2 sec quarter mile times in stock form.


I have owned 1 1979 HO & 6 1980 442s. These are decent driving G body cars that can be made to go fast but sure aren't in stock form.
