Dual Port Manifold

For the most part the only intake that we won't have tested on the dyno, by the time we get done (if that every happens) is an Offenhauser dual port. Initially I had no desire to test one as it will make less HP than a conventional intake, the divider between the two ports will be a restriction and it won't make as much power at higher RPM due to this divider being a restriction. I still 100% believe this. However, I think if this intake is ran with a vacuum secondary carb, and the right spring, it MAY make more low end torque due to the higher velocity of the smaller port. Now, this higher velocity air will hit the head and it may slow down enough to not have any impact. But I'd like to try.

In 2024 I seen quite a few of these at Homecoming and Nationals. However this year I didn't see a single one. Does anyone have one we can borrow, or purchase (but not that much money)? The engineer in me wants to try this. I won't lose sleep if we don't, but it may actually yield more torque.

I’d like to see this as well, but I believe it will make less horsepower AND torque. I’ll keep my reasons to myself for now, but it would be great to have tasted every intake ever offered for the big block Olds.
