Dyno Testing Part 5
Dyno Testing Part 5
This is the first time this part has been released to the public. Today or tomorrow I hope to finish up all the testing for part 6 and then begin the write up. If the Livernois guys don't have time to do a valve job on Joe's F heads, that he is so graciously letting us borrow, then the testing is already done (but we have a LOT of cleaning up to do in and around the dyno). It will be several weeks before it's done and published as I am pretty busy over the next 6 weeks. I don't expect testing for part 7 to even start until mid August, if not a bit later as life happens, even when you are retired. When I started this project I expected it take about a year. We made our first pull I think in November and I bet it will be close to a year until it's done. So far about 650 dyno pulls....

I have an "editor" that helps make my write ups easier to read and clearer (thank Gary). I recently asked him if I should change write up 5 because we have learned more things or found things out in further testing. He said no, which is the right call, Each of these write ups is a point in time of testing and what we knew or thought we knew at that time. So it's not uncommon for there to be corrections or clarifications in more recent write ups.
