So I finally got to take the Rallye to the track after more than a year after I ditched my old heads and went with the BTR Edelbrocks.
My previous best was a 10.75.
Got a lot of runs in today and started out slow...
Bumped the timing a little each round and raised the RPM a little each round.
Showed solid improvement run after run.
I ended my day with my best run ever, 10.59, in the worst air/DA of the day.
(left to right is first to last run)
Congratulations! Curious as to what you consider good air is? As I see the uncorrected baro is 30.27 @ Gainsville right now. I've raced all my life, and have never been in a 30.27 baro for an example. Can I ask what the DA was today?
Chad: you ever seen a 30.27 Baro?

I slowly turned it up to 6500.
I suspect my converter is slipping at the top end. So I had to turn up the RPM to make it through the traps without bouncing off the limiter.
I still hit my max RPM about 300ft before the stripe.
i see the bottom numbers are mph and 1/4 mile time, what are the other numbers on the slip!!
-Reaction time
-60 ft
-330 ft
-1/8th
-mph at the 1/8th
-1000 ft
Peter That thing is rolling!!!!
Thanks. I Think it still has a little bit left to go!
Nice, where did you race?
Gainesville. It’s my least favorite track…but they’re trying to make it better.

What rear ratio are you running ? It might be time to try a taller tire or ratio change to get you through the traps.
I just want explain to the forum why "the uncorrected" Barometer matters. When the uncorrected Baro goes over 29.92 in some cases it like free super charging without the loses of turning a super charger. If you live and race in a 500 feet elevation area, you don't have much of a chance of the uncorrected Barometer going over 29.92. So my point: Some of the fastest NA passes have been made down @ Gainsville, as the conditions can be real good there.
29.92 uncorrected Barometer, 60 degrees dry air = Sea Level conditions/Zero DA

Yes. The air gets to be incredible down here this time of year.
I don't remember the Baro # at that point in the afternoon...but the water grains were relatively low and temp was about 78.
The DA had risen from 300 in the AM to about 1100 by the time I made my last pass.
I have actually seen -300ft DA on occasion.
If I had my **** together and a decent convertor I could've run a 10.4x first thing in the AM.

The baro was 30.27 that day you were racing.
From your MPH I get this: 1320/124.64=10.59 now thats just a jumping off point, if the car really works you could go under a 10.59 by two tenths. So 10.40s is very possible, but I think theres more there and it starts with getting the car to leave. I look forward to your progress.
