New PB
Even though I didn't finish Drag Week, I did manage to make some headway on track performance. Putting a 4600 chip in the 2 step helped a bunch, but still has a little bog. I got my 60 down to 1.81 on a 12.17@116 pass. Oddly enough, my new quick ET of 12.07@116 only had a 1.92 short. If I can get all 3 factors to jive, I'll be doing something. Street car on 93 pump gas, 3775lbs w/ me in it, full interior and stereo.
Thanks. I suppose it's worth mentioning that it was driven 750 miles to do the 07 at US131 in Michigan with a fresh set of spark plugs, then another 250 miles to Norwalk, Ohio for the 17 pass.
Although, none of that holds a candle to Jim Forbes that drove his straight axle Chevy II 2500 miles from AZ to MI, finished 3rd in his class with a 10.38 average. That guy is hardcore!

3.70 in a 9".... getting ready to upgrade because something is really wrong back there. The Truetrac has way more rotational slop on the driver's side, and I have a nasty vibration that I have narrowed down to the rear- twisted or bent axle, I'm thinking. Either way, I don't think the 28s will last much longer, so 35 spline, here we come.
I don't want to put any more gear in because it will kill my cruise speed. It's already at 3000 doing 60ish.

I dont think you need anymore gear either.
I went with a QP 9” with a spool. Never have to worry about it again.
I was worried about the spool for awhile as I drive it on the street A LOT.
But it’s never been a problem.
