My son is coming home next Friday night and says we should take both race cars to the track on Saturday. He said he will pay the entry. This could be a personal best for the 1970 442 the best it ever went was 12.50. I am in the middle of installing different engine in it. I just have to finish hooking it up then break in the cam by Wednesday. Drive it around a little before Saturday. The 1970 442 is 3750 me in it 1/2 tank of fuel. This is a 468 ci engine turbo 400 around 10.5 compression. It has 390 gears posi will being running with the mufflers. Anyone want to make a guess what it will run?

to guess without a comparison of the details of the build but I will throw out there a 12.16 ET for ya assuming it's stouter than the previous engine.

Good Luck !

Good Luck !
Build for old motor is in the racing engine forum. 461 ci ross pistions 496 lift cam ,750 speed demon carb, performer intake, hooker 2 inch headers. Running 15X10.5X 29 mickey's slicks This new motor has same parts as the 1967 engine in the racing engine forum except different cam this one has a comp 540 lift. The other combo had a 569 lift lunati. These are different engines using same pistions kb hyptetic, 7 inch 425 rods, 425 stroke. 60 over 455 =468 ci american racing 2 inch headers. this will have a 850 mighty demon carb and a torker intake.Using 15X10.5X 28 mickey's slicks It will be driven to the track one way 45 miles. then remove rear street tires and add slicks. I hope this clears some of this up. I am thinking 11's Thanks for the guess

I probably got in close to 200 passes this year before my trans gave out in the last bracket of the season.
It ran a best of 6.87 in good weather, and usually 7.1x in the middle of summer which is 95+ even at 10 at night.

Pump gas, drag radial street driven.

Very nice ! Rallye469 I wish i could put that many runs in. I bearly got out this year.

I did hit the track One last time and got a 12.45 @ 107 mph. Also found out my car weighs in at 3400 lbs with me in it. Not too shabby for an all steel car. Gonna keep messing with the 355. Still has more in it.
