There is a shop over off Capitol and Pearl behind where Wheel Works used to be. I stopped in there when I was having work done to my truck one day and they had a bunch of stuff they were working on. Olds. Pontiac, Chevy, Ford (347 stroker)....

I think this is the place:

Yeah I used to work right down the street. A buddy of mine had his engine built there. Unfortunately they leveled that whole area and theyre building a carmax dealer.

Really...well damn it. I was just over at Denny's the other night, but I haven't been down Pearl so I guess I missed that. Do you know if they moved?

Recinos Performance in SF has always been helpful. The only place I could find who could balance. It's strange how engine shops are hard to find in the Bay Area, at least for me. If I were to build another engine I'd have one delivered from a builder. Since its been a pain in the *** to to find good shops locally

I know "Hubbard's machine" in Hayward is a very good place.
Use to be part of "Vic Hubbards speed and machine".
