Jerry that really sucks. I'm glad it didn't go up in flames. I love your car. A few weeks ago we had a little mishap while breaking in a cam on a running engine stand. Hose blew off, and caused a trip to the ER-

Do you think there's any chance the converter was not fully seated? I saw you post on FB with the video. Sounded real crisp. I wish I lived closer to you. I would help you fix that seal in an afternoon. Don't get discouraged. You're real close now. Are you going to Byron Sat? I will be there. Don said you may need me to pick up a bumper for Shawn? Let me know ASAP. I'm heading out early. Would love to meet with you, Dave

It's always misfortunate when you get a failure like that. Glad it wasn't worse.

That sux. It is stressful enough breaking in a cam without some disaster intervening.

I run stick transmissions, but I feel your pain. Don't get discouraged; it is still only nuts and bolts to fix. Your not taking to the body shop to strip warped paint or replacing any body parts.

Hate to hear that Big Jerr. It is good to hear from you. Maybe I have missed it but it seems I haven't seen a post from you in a while. Good to know you are still out there. That is pretty tough luck but I know you can handle it.

Coincidental issue. Reseal that sucker and press on.... Nice and dramatic spray pattern by the way, be glad it was not on the staging at the track!

I had that issue on a 2004r. I needed spacers between the converter and template. Pulled the converter out too far. It didn't leak right away, if I remember correctly. Added washers, no more leaks.
