I bought these rods for my early 400 motor. They were open but they are new in their original box. These are the ones with the .990 pin for Chevy pistons. I was buying them because they were for the 400-425, it was never brought up that they were .990 pins. I need the .880 pin for the Oldsmobile pistons. Price is $375.00 and includes the ride in the lower 48. Or if you have a set with .880/trade. Paypal is OK. I'm in Nebraska.

Your going to be ordering custom piston with wrist pin locks. Just order them for the .990 pins. No needed to loose $$$ just to have a specific pin size.

exactly what brand are they and what dimensions are these rods that you have ?I'm building a (olds)488 stroker motor.

Just as the title says. Scat 2-500-7000-990 H Beam Connecting Rods


They are Scat 7 inch rods for a Cadillac but fit Olds and have .990 pins for the Chevy pistons.

how much different are they from the eagle 7.100 ? I want to use the 4.500 stroke crank which pistons would I have to use

Well they're .100 shorter so you'll need a piston that is .100 taller than the std stroker piston. Otherwise they're the same design.

Keep it and drive it. You'll quickly find out how easy it is to get addicted to this hobby. You might not regret it. That's an awesome car.
