Its 60 ft ing is what it should for the ET and trap speed at the 1/8 , need more torque on the hit or more stall or both , to get below 1.60 60 would be a low low 7 sec car (1/8) if in the mid 1.5's , I am in a similar spot in my 63 Catalina 467 cid Poncho 400 stroker pump gas 3.64 gears it has been hitting 1.60's but best 1/8 has been 7.20@95 with heavy hood removed but thats all with a single plane intake and 2 inch HVH tapered spacer and my modified 10" street converter. I just swapped to a ported RPM intake and no spacer and about to see the results for the torque increase on the launch and hopefully higher average torque in the run, will share results soon

What was your best/ highest ever MPH in the 1/4?

Also, you never mentioned anything about blowing the tires away or having traction problems off the line…it’s just not 60’ good, correct?

137 top mph to date. Running a GV
Shocks (coil overs)has been the best way to control tire spin for me.
My issue is converter slip playing street / strip game. Hard to do both.

Correct just not good enough 60 foot. Highest mph was 120 in the quarter @11.20 several tracks repeat.

ok thanks..I’ll let you know later what I think.

what you can do for now is ignore all those who are telling you to add rear rear torsion type bar or special shocks etc. When you start blowing away the tires on launching, that’s when you NEED go to that stuff.
