Nice Rear!

I got my stock car center today. Check out Lakeside Race Parts in NC if you're interested in one. Same gear I had, 3.70, this one is rebuilt with new Timken bearings, rebuilt billet G Force locker, polished gears, and a billet yoke for 1350s. Need to order up some 31 spline axles. And, safety wire because safety wire!

Nice! I just ordered a new 9” housing and axels and will be looking for a center section.

What sway bar are you using? I've never seen one like this on an Oldsmobile.

I haven't fit the tailpipes, yet. That should be fun.

I still have the Strange/Truetrac center. It started making a weird clicking noise on tight turns and had excessive backlash in the ring and pinion. Changing the fluid never helped. The clicking (and high speed vibration) are probably the pinion yoke. I had cap girdles on it, and they weren't seating fully over the caps. I don't know if the yoke wore out, if the caps are just junk, or need machined to fit correctly. I also need to investigate the backlash cause. The gears may just be wore out, dunno yet.
