New EFI unit

Just saw this, and it runs E85 out of the box.

Never heard of the brand. Summit even has an EFI unit now.

Yeah, they even have a SEFI kit. Just curious how they actually compare to Fast, Fitech or Holley. They may be good, bad or somewhere in between, who knows?

Many aftermarket EFIs can run E85. You need to order them with large-capacity injectors and an alcohoil-percentage sensor. The electronics do not change regardless of fuel.

Order a brand you know and are comfortable with.

Regular snipers have no input for that type of sensor, nor does the software support it. Only HP, Dominator and Terminator X do. And I don’t know of any other TBI units that will do E 85 effectively.
And I’ve already done four of these Aces EFI units, not bad but also had to send one back for a faulty coil driver. On a mild build they’re OK, but for anything making any real horsepower the software isn’t great, somewhat confusing.

Were you able to get a new unit since the driver was faulty? Or did you have to jump through hoops of fire to get a replacement?

Once I got them on the phone they overnighted me a new unit.
They're a new company and still have to work out a few bugs in their operations and software packages. But the effort is there.

Mark, all TBI units? Have you been using timing control through their EFI? Their SEFI is about $500 US cheaper than the Terminator. I may consider it but may wait till they work out some issues.

No, 1 was for an LS. It was supposed to be for this one but we ended up doing one of the last AEM’s I had instead. I’m going to miss that stuff.🥲

Aces isn’t bad in itself. But I don’t care for the software too much and they basically have just one guy that knows it well enough to help. And he’s hard to get ahold of, of course.
