Are there any companies out there producing something like this for the small blocks? I'd like to pull a factory LS/LT computer out of something newer and run efi or maybe even get into an aftermarket unit. The main hang-up's seem to be crank-position sensor and injectors/fuel rails. The CPS should be able to be taken care of by running a distributor with one built into the top of it and then scale the table to match it's signal vs what's expected (from my limited understanding) but without some savvy fabrication skills, the injectors seem to be the real issue on the Olds platform. I realize the easy answer is just go TBI and be done with it but IMO if I'm going through the trouble of converting everything over and spending 2-3 grand to do so, I don't understand why people are settling for a sub-par system(s) (un-even fueling causing inconsistent cylinder temps/pressures from different rich/lean mixtures between cylinders). I never was into the late 80's/early 90's GM TBI systems because of all their problems so to me, using anything remotely close to those setups just seems like down-grading honestly. Sure the electronics are a 100x better these days and the computers can calculate 10000x faster but they inherently have major design flaws that you're just not going to be able to overcome "with the right tune". But back on topic, I've looked and googled a lot. From what I can tell, there was a company once upon a time making them but not anymore. If such an intake can't be found, does anyone know of a company producing just the injector "boss"'s by themselves that could be adapted and welded into a one-off sheet metal intake or is it as simple as just making sure you have the right diameter and depth setup creating the seal around the injector housing? The more I dream about a 8-speed efi olds setup, the more I want to start gathering parts. Fuel squirting out at 60-70 psi isn't something to just "try out" so I figured, I'd start by asking here and seeing what input I can gather on the topic.
You’re making this waaay more complicated than you need to.
Just google sheet metal intakes if that’s the way you want to go. Anyone who does them for Chevys will most likely be able to do them for an Olds.
I've had multiport EFI on my ‘72 since ‘04. But yes the newer systems are even better today. And there are tons of injector options too.
I know most will say just do a Holley HP, Dominator or Terminator but MY first choice is the AEM Infinity, wicked fast processor, reasonably priced, and tons of tunability.
Let me know if can be of help, been doing it a long time.

For the small block Olds, I believe they made a multiport injection manifold, or at least a TBI, for 80’s era Cadillac Sevilles. Maybe you remember the ones with the funny sliced off trunks?
If I’m right about it being multi port, it ought to be more or less bolt on.

I wouldn’t use that though for anything expected to make 300hp or more. Very anemic with very small throttle bores.

^^^THIS. The Caddy EFI intake is rumored to flow worse than a stock 2bbl intake. I've got one, but more as a collector's item than anything else. You can open the throttle bore holes, however. In the photo, stock bore on the right, machined on the left (to match a GM TBI unit that was being used just as a throttle body). And before Mark weighs in on this, these photos are from almost a quarter century ago (and no, this isn't one of mine).
You know the throttle body on those had to be 350 cfm, give or take. I ran the later TBI on a 94 Z71 with an Olds 350 and it is 500 cfm at best. It worked fine with the SP2P where a Qjet was too much full throttle for that tiny intake.
Mark, aka Cutlassefi had this manifold made to go on the engine I had him build for me. It isn't a fabricated manifold, but it shows the injector bungs can be welded in. The welding on this one looks very nice. I had that same dream, just a little lower on the power scale. Uses an AEM infinity ECU.
Mark made this one as well. It's low enough to work with a W-25 air cleaner adapter and W-25 hood. It's based on an Edelbrock 2151 Performer 455 intake with a FAST throttle body. This is more adaptable to a stock build than a fabricated intake. Fuel hoses arranged to back of engine W-25 air cleaner base fits above fuel rails

Hello, are you around, I'd need some help for conversion, as it seems you know a lt ! I'm in France and trying a conversion on my 307LV2 1988 Cadillac Brougham
Thank you
