I was looking at my Rocket Racing Intake and you cant help but notice the boogers in the casting.
So right or wrong I took out the carbide and went at it. It was more to clean it up and smooth it out rather than hog it out.
It seems you can get lost in it as it takes time and have a new respect for the people that do this for a living.
So after some work with the carbide this is where I ended up, I have not cartridge rolled anything yet and maybe a bit unsure if it is necessary but I'll take any advice I can.
In the throat area there is a few holes in the casting. I was wondering what would be a good epoxy to use in this situation. Obviously I don't need a whole bunch.
I left the throat area as cast rather than work it over - my thinking was perhaps this would help fuel atomization being rough but I am open to suggestion.
Not sure if there is any recommended mods for the intake entrances or dividers. I left them bull-nosed.
One thing I did not realize but you have to use at least a one inch spacer as you cannot set your holley carb on top of the intake as it will not sit flush due the carb linkage. So I am thinking a 4 hole spacer.
