First off nice car and sounds great. Watched the video, it looks like it needs tighter compression valving in the front and and more front end travel as well as decreased rebound valving. My very first few passes in the superstocker launched that way when I had my AFCO BNC DA's set at 75% both ways. The rebound was too tight. Mike Pustelny (MPR racecars) set it up that way initially in fear of putting it on the rear bumper. If I remember correctly had a ton of front end travel with stock length ball joints. I left my valving at 75% compression to eliminate the bounce and set my rebound at 40-50%, which brought the wheels up from what you saw on your buddies car to at least 3 feet. The car drove out nicely and was super consistent in the 60 ft. This is just my observation though and I honestly don't know your buddies setup.
Anyways great looking car.

Thanks YANKEES...that's actually my car, Steve posted the vid to Youtube for me.
I agree with your assesment, I saw the bounce when the car hit and I am way soft on compression.
Thanks for your ideas. I'm always learning!!

70Wcars, I'm not much into the 1320, but that's a nice pass. As U have may seen on this site under major projects, I'm building a 64-SUV, ( pro-touring F-85) and I envy your car, it's very nice. This time around I am going to build a 425, not a 455. There is something different about those motors and so few many are built compared to the 455. In the way back (65-66) I drove the crap out of a few Starfires with the 425's. Even back in the day with all that weight they just pulled and pulled. I could run easy with 442's 396 Chevelles ,GTO's Grand Sports etc. in this big old brick!! I'm fixing to find out in a few years when I get to it. For now in the build is a 67 400E.
