first time taking the 66 to the track

i finally got my 66 f85 to the track today, a little disappointed with my times but i know i need a driver mod and we got there late and only got one test run in before it was time to bracket up.

first run on my 19's and 40psi took off like at a light then rolled into it spinning thru 1st and 2nd

60' 2.416
1/8 8.417@62mph

second run was on my 29x10 slicks at 15psi, launch pretty soft then floored it after i realized it hooked.

60' 1.961
1/8 7.703@65mph

after the racing was over they let my dad and i get one more run in since we were late. didnt get to clean the slicks of this time and launched harder then previous run. spun maybe have of first short shifted to second then saw my dad get out of it so i hit third.

60' 1.988
1/8 7.48@67mph

car is 3600lbs without me, sbo, t56, 4.10 gears, 29x10 slick(last 2 passes). we got there to late to get any test runs in or do any tuning. i also had my wastegate set as low as it could go so i had a lazy( slow spooling) 5 psi, after i tune it and get more seat time im goint to 10psi and if everything seems well i see what 15psi does. all in all it was a fun day, drove to the track, raced and drove home.

How are you running 7's in the 1/8th with a trap speed 20-30 mph slower than what is required especially with poor 60' times ?

I would think you would be more at 92, 95, 97 mph rather than 62, 65 and 67

That's what I've been trying to figure out. From everything I read people running those times trap faster mph. I'm wondering if there system was faulty that day.

The track isn't actually a full 1/8, idk how much that affects the time vs mph. One of the other guys in my class said he runs consistent 7.5xx and didn't mention anything about the times being weird that day.

They print slips, it's evergreen speedway and they use the straight of the oval track for the street drags. I'm about half way between Pacific raceway and mission so evergreen is the closet I get for any type of drag racing

ET sounds reasonable , yours and past ones. Wondering if they just don't have a proper MPH arrangement for finish line calculations.
