All of this isn't proven. And if it is true, why doesn't he have a set of heads? All I know is one guy, the guy you clearly love😉, showed up on this site with pictures of the SB head, a long time before they are supposed be released. I have only seen one other person with those heads on Facebook testing rocker arms and it isn't Vortecpro. Carry on with the torches and pitch forks😁.

And I believe that guy works for Comp/Edelbrock.

Curious how these Edelbrocks will compare to the Ported Speedmasters from CutlaasEFI?

Lucky for us our resident Engine God (Cutassefi) is the lead designer/engineer on both these heads and should have the flow #'s on both.
Maybe he will post them.
Unless he is limited to the info can provide by his NDA.

Also curious, with a similar program, they should be superior. I think the new chamber is the modern chamber we need and biggest difference between the Edelbrock and Speedmaster heads. As a small block guy, the new 68cc chamber for the upcoming head with the notch is good, not making an electric pump absolutely necessary and better flow numbers with the same 200ish CC port is also good. The 4" chamber allow 330 builds as well. Something Edelbrock should consider is adding more material at the top of the ports on the 2711/3711 intakes and making the ports the same size as the RPM internally for Trans Am guys. Very few people do anything with the 307 and even guys like DR Dan gained at the track with the RPM intake on Vin 9 307's over the A4. I really don't care who did what, just glad that it did happen with the BB head and ecstatic that the new SB is coming!

I'm new here, but crap like this will help drive away more members, SEEN IT before. KEEP YOUR PERSONAL CRAP OUT OF THE TECH SECTIONS.

I have spoken to BOTH Marks in the past (Vortecpro and CutlassEFI). BOTH have been helpful. I will have no issues dealing with either.

BUT get a life, build a bridge, and get over it already.............

Here just over a month, congrads being FIRST on the ignore list

Stupid question time: will these new SBO heads fit SBO intakes?

I am sure Mark will confirm, only the RPM and Victor are the only currently made intakes that have enough material as cast to work with the BBO sized ports on the new SB head.

I agree both have helped me as well. Many of us like and have dealt with Cutlassefi for years, some apparently not.

You are CORRECT !
But you being here for only a month, you obviously have not seen the years of unwarranted BS and drama brought on by this one single individual who thinks his way is the only way.
Many good threads on this site have gone in the crapper because of his narrow minded thinking and personal vendetta against another member.
I have sat here and read this certain member's use of foul language, mockery and insulting comments toward another member for years.
All though I believe this type of behavior has no place here, I also believe this certain member needs to feel what it's like to have it done to him.
I do respect your opinion on this subject but being you have only been here a month you have only experienced it a glance.
Do some reading on some past threads and come back with an educated opinion on this subject.
I am sure you will have a better understanding on this matter as time goes on.

Until then, enjoy the site.

PS: unlike another member, my response to you was not given with the use of foul language, name calling or insults.

You need to do a little better research. Your buddy Velcro has trashed me since day one,
totally unprovoked. He’s taken every opportunity to belittle and discredit me, including continually criticizing ME for not posting time slips. My customers aren’t racers, I’m sorry! Please tell me how that’s my fault? He won’t, just keeps pointing out that I don’t post time slips to back up my Dyno numbers. I don’t understand.

Done here.

You don't have to be done, no need to trash anyone, you have some happy customers, and they all can't be wrong. But I don't think I'am out of line asking for supporting dyno data, and I do believe the guy with the white mid 70s Olds was headed to the track with your engine, and there is a cover up there-but thats just the way it is. Never think for a minute I don't enjoy your contributions here, in fact I look forward to them. Maybe one day you will get one of these customers to showcase your performance at a drag strip. Well I'm off to the dyno with the rubber foot on the front of the oil pan.........Velcro

What happened to the Olds engine for the mid 70s white Olds?

OMG. I have no idea. Ask him.
And I don’t need a drag strip to validate my work. Happy customers is all I care about.

All the experts can be condescending, Dale Robinson and both Mark's. Realize they are all different, off this site. I haven't dealt with Vortecpro, multiple happy members dealing with him, the other two Dale and Mark Remmel are very good to deal with. Some people go on vendettas and just mercilessly attack members on this site. I don't see the appeal.

Ok boy's !!!
Let not get our panties in a bunch.
It's started out as a little hacking/joking.
But the truth came out. I'm not the only one who feels this way. Just the only one who said it.
Laugh a little. Lots of other things going on in the world to worry about... Or not.
At least I'm first on somebody's list.
Relax and be cool. Give your kids a hug and a kiss. And if no kids, give to your Olds.

Head notch for fuel pump.
I hope it was designed for this pump, to my knowledge this is the only pump that can keep up with fuel demands.
If it was not guys that want to run a mechanical pump will have to make the notch larger if possible.

Mark will the heads be available in non pairs so the guys that don't want the notch can buy two Left heads?

All heads are scalloped. It’s in the rear on the drivers side, the front on the passenger side.

From what I have seen, once you are making north of 500HP, it's best to upgrade to an electric fuel pump. Pushing fuel (pump in or near tank) is better than pulling fuel (mechanical fuel pump on engine). I prefer in-tank fuel pumps as they run cooler and quieter and are out of sight. Aeromotive makes good in-tank fuel pumps.

Yes, wood quality supplies are beyond sketchy, in some places these days. We are all going to have to go back to Balsa wood at this rate.

Need more of this!

I'm surprised at how little fanfare has accompanied their release of the redesigned heads. I'm sure they're still working on filling the existing back orders, but any company that's done this kind of development is usually looking for an opportunity to show off?

Incidently, couldn't care less about the pallet construction. Not grading them on those :-D

Yes, 2812’s are scheduled for an 8/26 production. I’ll have to check on the 2810’s though.
