Actually I really want to know what the cars runs with that OD trans, I know dam well its been down the track.
Pretty sure Dan isn't going to post any times till he gets the car sorted out. Even then, after be attacked and ridiculed here, we won't be the first ones he tells☹.

How long does it take to sort a car out when you live in Florida? Some of the best conditions in drag racing as well. I would think after paying Bill to build the engine and having it installed in the car some time ago its probably been down the drag strip, seeing its obvious Dan likes to bracket race. If it runs hard I will be the first to congratulate him to be sure. And besides that I'am very curious as to how it runs. I just know over the years I've done a few drag tests, the engine builds were depicted on forums and put in the cars and run at the track, and the data was presented, and it didn't takes years even though I run a VERY demanding business.
Did you ever think, unlike you, that people have a life other than drag racing?
He doesn’t owe anybody an explanation about anything, especially someone as critical as you. If you really want to know how it does then shut up and build the same combo yourself.

One sure fire way is to except, show up and race Dan as he challenged you Vortec Pro. Aren't you moving to Texas which isn't that far from Florida. I will have to drive 4 hours to race my 70S which I probably will once done.
I designed this as soon as Mark came up with 4.0” crank. I got one of the first 3 cranks. I looked and studied every girdle available and BTR was the obvious choice. I build all my own stuff but being that Bill would have to take his big block girdle and adapt for a small block I decided to just get him to do the engine. He was amazed at the power this combo made even after the first pull. There’s a lot more in it but it’s more than I need for what I was trying to achieve. I don’t know of ANY pump gas small blocks that have made near this power. I cannot thank Mark enough for the crank, Bill for taking this project on, and to all the 403 haters, you can now eat your own words. This is a 496 killer plain and simple. I can’t say right now, but after texts, fb messages, phone calls after it was dynoed, some things are in the works. If you are building a sb, by a crank from Mark. Thanks for the compliments!

1. The car has been to the track and its so slow you don't want to talk about it...........................
2. You broke the engine?
3. You had BT build you a engine several states away, you installed it, drove it, and you decided you were too busy to finish the project and it just sits?
Personally I look forward to the day you post the performance of the 403 build, do I ever think that day will come, not so much, but I keep optimistic. BTW your not busier than me, not even close. On another note it seems you met my friend Mark Yacavonne over on the OD forum a while back. Stay healthy and keep tearing them up at the bracket races!

Dan is a great guy, always helpful on these sites. He owns multiple Oldsmobile powered cars that he races, all pretty quick. I hope we see it posted somewhere, it may not be here🙁.

Makes me want to do another 403. Maybe a bit milder than this though? I have most parts except Pistons/pins/rings and Heads. I have three, 330 cranks, but the crank Mark had made seems way better than a 50 year old 330 crank. I need some new E-Brock heads as well.
I just built a Lycoming O-360. I may get a chance to fly it down to see ya' someday. I'd post some pics, but I don't want to derail the thread!

I'll make another post when I get time. Chrome looking stuff is actually powder. Wishing I could fly on this day. This was in progress before the exhaust was done. I was burned out at this point. Covid and 7 months of work to get here.

If the 480 inch Olds was to show dyno HP or close to dyno HP @ a known verified weight down in the ridiculously good conditions Florida has to offer this time of year, you can be sure I'd be the first to congratulate you!

I see no problem running a 200 in a 10 sec bracket car. Keep in mind I've seen nothing...................but 11 sec G bodies. Its very well documented on this internet with time slips and videos of what my stuff runs.

I have never ran any power adders on any of my stuff EVER. my 66 F 85 ran 9.60`s leaving from a dead idle 373 rear gear and I drove it to work several times. NO electronics, trans brake-NOTHING. When you get done with class racing, maybe you can graduate up to bracket racing. and if you think it`s easier than class racing....show up at the world footbrake challenge in Bristol TN in July. I bet you can`t get past 2 rounds. Everything I ever ever raced, I`ve won in. I just went through all my trophies moving. 296 total wins. 98 with 1 car. Ya know what.....you wouldn`t make it past 2nd round at a normal saturday night bracket race. I like class racing.....atleast until I found out you do it.
