They should all be the same, 260-455 if that helps.

they're not all the same. bb vs. sb, body styles (a, b, c, e, etc.) and model years
different bends
also require use of the proper dipstick to match the tube

They are not all the same. I tried buying one off of ebay and of course it was wrong. I had to buy a brand new one from G.M. for specifically 77-80 350. I am pretty sure that some holes in the block are different diameters also.

How long ago was that Dan2286? I know I purchased a set for a 455 a few years ago, but I wonder how much longer (if at all) they will be available at the other GM dealerships.

Woodie582 you might try going to the local Chev/Buick/Pont dealer to see if they can order it for you. John

I looked in my GM parts catalog and it shows part number 401568 for a '68 350 and '69-'72 350 dipstick guide/tube, 14-3/4" dipstick length. Number 401567 for a tube for the 20-3/4" overall length dipstick/indicator. My '71 Vista Cruiser 350 (same as Cutlass) has the longer dipstick and the tube number (401567) is stamped on it about halfway down, probably to keep them matched up. The USA Parts Supply catalog has two listings for them and one denotes the 14-3/4" dipstick so maybe the other one is for the longer tube? gmpartsdirect has the shorter ones according to the site, just enter part number 401568 in the search there or maybe a local GM dealer has one or can order it as 2blu said.

It was probably almost a year ago when I got the tube from the dealer.

I bought a chrome one from Summit. It worked just fine.

I just used a 307 one on every motor I've run. Worked fine every time. BBO SBO Delta, cutlass, didn't really matter much.
