Didja contact Bearing Distributors Inc. (put that or BDI in the googler to find your local dist). If the number doesn't cross get out the calipers and give them the measurements. I have yet to find a bearing BDI couldn't match. Same for grease seals.
Have you looked at RockAuto look under 57 Olds then drivetrain. I found the bearings there

update on carrier bearing
Thanks for your help ,I have called everyone of the places you have suggested and no luck, they made two differ carrier bearing in 57 and the one I have no one has any. My bearing has the dim of bore 40mm, od 62 mm, width 15 mm. the width seams to be the problem. So if any of you have any more ideas or possibly know any one who might have one of where to get one please let me know.
Try these guys for help, they are reproducing rear end parts and should know the bearings you need. Good luck

Find something slightly smaller and have it machined out. Or fit a speedy sleeve onto the carrier and put a larger bore bearing over that. You can get a good interference fit that way by chilling the carrier and warming the bearing.

I got a pair of "unobtainable" rear wheel bearings for my '67 Vista Cruiser from Olcar Bearing Co. They are in North Carolina. The owner is George Bachleda and his # is: 910 693-3324. He went out of his way to help and was awesome to deal with. Give him a try.
