I have the correct number from a 66 toro the only thing you would have to do is switch out the throttle plate to the cutlass type. ( held on by one screw ) or if you want a 1967 carb i have plenty of those. pm me your direct email for pic of carb.

U must be a numbers guy. But this is the worst carb ever made. This Is the first year and I believe it was recalled also

I do t have any 66 carbs on my 66 cars. Grab one a little newer.
Just my opinion. Good luck

There was a factory "fix" of drilling a hole for a screw to secure the inlet fitting. The better cure was using the TriCarb conversion package.

Having had my 66 Rochester apart about a dozen times I can confirm that that year is a pita!

Have seen these 66 carbs with the factory mod metal tags if a fix was done. Rochester sold kits with the mod parts and the metal tag. I also have a 66 service repacement carb which is better carb and for those numbers guys would be a better then getting a 67. There is a nice one on eBay also. Found 2 more 66 toro carbs with the mod tag and one 442 carb pictured below.

fromhttp://www.442.com/oldsfaq/ofcrb.htm "The 66 factory service advisories tell tales of this problem, so they knew about it. I don't know if there is a permanent fix, but I thought it best to get the h*ll away from these carbs before they really blew up the car. The reason the plug is there is that the casting has to be drilled and you can't drill around a corner. So they drilled, then plugged the hole." if your '66 carb has a plunger and diaphragm thing under the float instead of a needle and seat, it's the bad kind. I think the kits where toro repair kits, not sure but it may be to replace paper filter with metal one so not to use the rubber fuel line where the steel line should be.

the problem is they sealed the hole with some epoxi type adhesive and sooner or later it would leak fuel on a hot intake.
