alternator bracket

Looking for the alt bracket(s) that mounts up high on the left for a 68 Cutlass with air. Thanks. Gil...

I believe you want the two piece bracket, one shaped kinda like an "H" that goes over the drivers side valve cover. The other shaped more like a "C" that attaches to the front of the head. Here's a couple photos of it, sorry I don't have an extra set at this time. John

Trying to get my 68 Cutlass fired up but having a bitch of a time. Got the correct alternator bracket and trying to figure the power steering out. Which bracket do I need for a big block with air? I was told they were all interchangeable but I'm finding out a big block with air is it's own critter, interchangeable with nothing. I'm not sure if I have the right pump wrong brackets, wrong pump right brackets or what. Anybody got a picture of the left front of a big block so I can figure this out before I spin out and go ballistic. Thanks once again guys.

They are the same power steering setup. Please see my reply to your other post, once we see what pump/bracket setup you have we can help you get it bolted on.

Hope these help. you need a spacer between the lower bracket and the block and also a spacer between the lower timing cover bolt and the front bracket. A/C has no effect on the alternator brackets. These pictures are from a 70 and should be the same as your 68 if you have the original brackets. The small block and big block brackets are the same.
