I have a set in the garage, but I have no clue what the codes on them are, and to be honest I haven't taken them out of the plastic bags in probably 7 years. I can take a look at them and see what I have and if the date codes are correct we can go from there.
Just bear with me as it may have to wait until the weekend due to my work schedule (unpredictable).

I have a set from a 70 Pace Car. If you can tell me when Pace Cars were built I will dig them out and check date codes. Never been touched and still assembled. Can have them tanked and mag'ed here.

I have a set only mine have been rebuilt. I was going to put them on my engine but I picked up a set of aluminum heads. I didn't want to do anything crazy to these. They are in great shape been in bags for two years. I can send you pictures. I will be relisting them soon last buyer never sent money.

Sorry, I have a 124/125 pair, and a 30/30 (maybe 50/50) pair.

If you look at the down at the heads, you see 4 sets of ribs by the exhaust ports. 2nd and 3rd set of ribs should have numbers above the that read 403 686. Go to the 4th set (to the right). You'll see a number with slash marks
/350/. Thats the code date. If you flip the head over, on the edge in the middle it will have the date too.

Thanx, David

Is that a pair of 349's and a pair of 22's,or one of each?
Looking for a matching pair,if possible.

I thought for sure you'd find something before now. I've got a couple complete engines with what you need, but hesitate to break down a motor just for the heads. If your still striking out send me a PM Brian.

I have the one 349 pictured and the other head on the engine these heads were from is a 22 . I have never seen an eng with the heads having the same exact build date. I assume the line pulled what ever was on the shelf ... maybe heads with closer dates were paired up ... not sure. I think a 90 day window is acceptable ... as long as its prior to your cars build date .

OK so I got into the garage and took a look at what I have......not good. So not good that I didn't even attempt to check the date codes. The decks are SHOT! I got these when I got my car back (long story) and I didn't look them over too well apparently as they have been DRY since I have had them. Sorry.

They are pitted really bad. The decks would need minimum 1/16" taken down in spots and possibly 1/8"....it's that bad.

I seen these pop up on c-list. No date codes but worth checking out. $180 and they are in the bay.

I had some C-heads that had craters like the moon. Yes,they did need cut.Something like that would be great for someone looking to boost compression,or put on a small block.

Interesting. I am considering just scrapping them though. I just wouldn't feel right selling them to someone now seeing the condition they are in. For all I know they are cracked and I'm not going to pay to have them cleaned and magged now.

I have asked my brother to ck the heads on the shelf, and on the 70 D88 and the 70 Toro parts cars. He's been really slow lately, and hates me though so not sure that will pan out. He does like money though.

What are the odds?
High 300's.... 340 to 365... 26 days possible ok out of 365 days possible...
Odds are 1:14 I guess.

I was looking and found a set I have had boiled with no valves. Both of them are 344 E's. I have them because they were the big valve heads. I will take them to my machinist.
