Could you post a picture of your interior? I think I know what sandalwood exterior looks like, but am not sure about that interior color.

Wow! I've been around a lot of these cars but never seen that interior color before. Do you currently have a 4 spoke on it? If so, you might be able to paint the hub to match the steering column and have the correct appearance for a factory application.

Ditto. The pic of that steering wheel suggests it is the N34 wheel and the side grain looks to be in decent shape. Most of the other steering wheels were made out of an acrylic? plastic that was very prone to cracking/separation.

 

The steering wheel that was on it when i bought the car was an aftermarket. I bought an oe wheel (non-sport) of this color here in Indiana but it is in so poor shape that i dont think it is repairable. This guy also had a dash in this color but he said it was the only one he has ever seen in this color. I would like to stay with an non-sport wheel if i can find one in good enough shape.

 

You can have the steering wheel repaired to new condition. Last time I checked it was around 400.00 though. Still, not bad for a concourse finish wheel in the color you're looking for. Even really poor condition wheels can be repaired to look new.

Only way to find out is to contact one of them and ask. Be prepared to send pics. Also don't be shocked at the price of restoring a steering wheel. It's NOT cheap.

 

I've been trying to restore my oe plastic wheel. I found some decent youtube videos on the subject. I am using a 2 part epoxy that is supposed to hold up pretty well. My wheel was so brittle that large sections of the back had to be recreated from scratch with epoxy. There are a lot of contours on it too, so it took a lot of filing. I'm about ready to finish sand and paint, but now I am having trouble with finding plastic/vinyl paint that will match the dark green horn button. The other issue I'm having is replacing a decorative plastic ring that went around the face of the wheel. It was long gone when I got the car and I think I'll have to just fill in the gap it went in with epoxy. After trying it myself, $400 seems like a fair price. The sports wheels are cooler anyway, so I'd stay with that.

 

Now you know why restoration costs are so high. It's specialized and you pay for good results.
