65 Cutlass steering wheel emblem rides shotgun
Took her out for a ride Sunday with the top down.
Two issues have arisen. First, my bald spot burnt to a crisp
(worth it, but I learned to keep a cap in the car). Second, the steering wheel emblem spent most of the time in my lap and passenger seat.
I have four parts that I can't seem to figure out how to put back together.
a. Chrome rim
b. Clear plastic cup for inside rim with emblem
c. Conical chrome and black backing plate, and
d. Metal mounting plate with two connecting arms.
I have tried every conceivable way to remount these. Is there a piece missing that holds it all together? Does any company sell replacement parts?

I looked for this in my 1975 issue parts and illustrations manual. Unfortunately, there is no diagram for the 65 F-85 steering wheel. Looking at the pictures from my 69, there are a series of tabs one one of the metal plates that pressure fit the cap to the wheel hub. Maybe some of yours are bent or broken if they are similar?
Do you have the service and assembly manuals for the 65? Maybe they can shed some light.

Cam...I have the service manual. The instructions are vague at best. I think you are right. The final metal attaching plate seems to be a pressure fit. But wear has caused it to deform. I think I can fab a new one with slightly larger dimensions to hold tight. Thanks for the help.
