Looking for an original starter for my car 1970 Cutlass 350 4 bbl, automatic. I believe the correct starter is part number 1108386. Prefer early 1970 date December - Mid March

i have one that is 1A11 date. i am not sure what that translates to. it is greasy but worked when i pulled it several years ago. i think i would have it rebuilt anyway if i were you. $25 and shipping. PM me your email address and i can send pictures if this is the right date.

i see how it works now. i have many more starters at my parents house. i will look next time i go there. i know one came off of a 70 Vista so maybe it will be right if you don't find one before i look.

don't look like i can help. i was at my parents house and found another one but it is also 71.

 

1108386 0D15 Sorry this is as close as I can come. I have a later one I think it was 0G? can't recall. I still have another pile to look thru. This one is available if anyone is interested. New bushings brushes drive and rebuilt solenoid. Armature lathe turned. Tested works great.

 

I found another one dated 0B17. Would you prefer that one? I will pm

Joe, Since this is Pacecars thread and I was looking for a starter for him, he will have first choice. This is forum policy. You may have choice next. I will finish looking thru my starters tomorrow and maybe I will get lucky and find another one. I only have a couple of dozen more to go thru so chances are slim.

Brad, do you want the one dated Feb or the one dated April. I think Joe also needs the Feb date. If you wait till tomorrow, I will let you know if I have any more with this 1108386 number. Thanks guys.

 

Pacecar has bought the 0B17. joesw31 has first crack at the 0D15. I also have 1108386 in an August 1970 date and a couple in 1973 dates. Thanks.
