I am looking for a 1969 Hi compression Delco Remy Starter #1108333 with date codes running from 9C** thru a max 9E17. Does not need to be working but must be complete and stamping clear. Solenoid does not need to be present. Please provide pics. Will pay. Thank you!

If you look at this starter on craigs list, you will see it is the wrong housing and case. That case wasn't made untill much later than 69.

I have 3 1108333 but all are also wrong for you. dated 7J 8C and 8F I will keep looking, but I think that is it for now.

 

Yes Stellar, the date code on the one on craig's list is wrong for 69 H/O. The H/O's were made March thru May, mine in particular 05C = 3rd week of May. Using a 1969 calander the last possible day would have been the 16/17th of May, really the 16th = Friday. Normally I recall items were in process about 2weeks in front of a car's body tag, but I cannot get to picky. Nonetheless, the craig's list one is simply for a hi comp 400 motor on a 442 1969. Thanks for looking and hope you find something. I will pay good $$$ for the correct item & date code.

 

There ain't no bad $$$ unless it is counterfit. Are my dates worth good $$$? If so they are all for sale. The style of case on the one pictured on craigs list wasn't made untill mid 1970's. So it is probably a 1979. The front housing is for a chevy buick or cadillac.

 

To be dead set, I at a minimum must have the armature casing shell that has the stamping from Delco Remy on it, with the aforementioned date code time frames. I can utilize the guts I have from my Toro starter and achieve the same final result. Yes I would prefer pure vintage, but a man cannot limit his opportunities these days. Folks please take this into consideration if you just have a shell. Thanks!
