56 two door sedan glass

I must have left the two sets of door glass in the rafters when i moved or a friend who stored his stuff in the basement while in afghanistan for 6 tours took them unknowingly when he bought a house finally.any one have these? I can just use the pieces that go along the bottom the glass set in and buy new glass if necessary but i dont have that piece either.thanks

I am in the same boat as you - no glass and no channels - I got a couple of channels from a '54 post parts car but they're pretty rusty. My next step is to order for a chebby post car (as you would imagine - they sell them) and match them up with the unuseable olds ones I have - my thinking is that they're the same, but if not I think the little tabs that fit into the regulator tracks can be removed and re-tack welded on - it did this on my 4 door tracks as I had two lefts and needed one of each.

Danchuk has the tracks for the chebby 2 door posts - pretty cheap too.

This post will make me get off the pot and order them - I'll let you know how it works.

p. 274 of their downloadable catalog. Part numbers 1015, 1016, 1017, 1018. They also sell the rubber setting channels on the same page.

The pieces are called "Glass Metal Channels"

No - I've been bad...got into basement project at home (wife gave me permission for man-cave / wet bar) - between that, approving my stable of cars, and being easy on the eyes, I'm pretty lucky

After our last discussion, I printed out the info, stuck it next to my desk, and promptly started googling "wet bar accessories" and "kegerators" - as is my downfall, I see something shiny and get distracted - I'll order them when I get to the office tomorrow and see if they're right - it's a step I need to take regardless....sorry for leaving you out there hanging...

yes - I'm here...busier than a one-legged man in an a-- kicking contest is all...I got my channels in last week and they're sitting on the front seat of the car. I'll do my best to get you some info this weekend - I'll take inventory of what I have for brackets too.
