FYI, my Hollander Interchange shows gas tanks for '54 and '55 (all models) are the same. My experience is the '56 tank is also the same, with the '56 tank having an additional indention running along the driver's side bottom half of the tank that provides additional clearance for the left side factory dual exhaust.

Gas Tank '54 Olds

FYI, here is an alternative (check out link below) in the event you can't locate a gas tank for your Olds. I had my '54 98 Olds gas tank re-newed for a reasonable cost. The gas tank looked brand new in & out, comes with a lifetime nationwide warranty and guaranteed to stop rust permanently..! Click on the link and see if there is a dealer near you..?

Thanks for the info geomen, the funny thing is when you sent me this i was on my way to pick up my tank from a place that does the gas tankrenu.I know trying to find a tank is a pain in the rear, plus if you found one in a yard or a parts car ,you cant tell how bad the inside is.the gas tank renu is a lot better wy to go in my opinion.
