Seeking 2004-R core from Buick, Olds, or Chevy
Post up to bump the thread and PM me please.
Here's how to tell. http://www.442.com/oldsfaq/oft200.htm
Looking to put one of these into my 1970 Olds 442 tribute behind my Rocket 350 with 425ft lbs.
Primarily looking for a core in the
Chicago area, N. Illinois, or S.Wisconsin or NW Indiana.
Per Chris @ Ck Performance, I'm looking primarily for a core from: (but suggestions are welcome)
1985-1988 Chevy Monte Carlo SS
1984-1987 Buick Regal with a 307 4bbl (or GN)
1984+ Oldsmobile Cutlass with 307 4bbl
1989 Trans Am turbo (iirc)

200r4 in Texas
I have a 200r4 in Llano, Texas.
I bought it to take back to the UK, but no longer have a car to put it in.
I will be in Texas march 23rd - April 7th.
It is supposed to be a rebuilt unit but I cannot verify that, it is complete with converter & some wiring harness.
Hope this helps;
Roger

Working on a couple of yards I deal with - will get back soon!!
Why would line pressure make a difference if you're gonna rebuilt it?
When I did a 400, I used a B+M valve body -

I just read that the AA Caddy's have the lowest line pressure for weak shift points.
Just a hobbyist.
I read the BRF valvebodies are the most sought after, and the price reflects it.
Buying an aftermarket VB costs a few hundred. Didn't want to have to spend that if
I can avoid it with a good core to start with.
Jake just told me that the Caddy one's can actually be remedied with the proper
shift kits and governors. I wasn't aware of that.
