1970 Hood Help
Thanks, I’m in south Florida, sure any assistance would be appreciated. Yes, shipping a hood would be crazy.
if anyone has one in Florida I could pick it up. I looked online but all I found was fiberglass cowl hood? I don’t want that.
Thanks again!

Every 1970 today has a reproduction W25 hood, which must mean that every one of those owners has the original metal hood leaning against the wall in the garage or shed. I don't understand the asking prices of some of these hoods. In any case, be aware that there are two styles of metal hoods for 1970, the "double hump" used on 442s and Cutlass S cars and the "single hump" hood used on everything else (F85s, Supremes, four doors, and wagons).
Third Party Shipping
There are online ship services that have been around now, for quite a long time. Am of belief many customers simply don't want to investigate them for some reason. Fastenal may still offer discounted "third party" shipping in some outlets, although certain outlets can, and have, opted out, of having that service. The store here, in Las Cruces NM has Never had it.
www.uship.com is the one most commonly used, to best of belief
www.getloaded.com might have been one of the first, not sure of their current status.
There are others.
